Sugarcane paper is the successful docking of sugarcane and environmental protection, the production of high-grade household paper with bagasse will definitely become a low-carbon scenery of the industry.
Sugarcane paper can be recycled not only as a raw material for paper making, but also into sugarcane lunch boxes, sugarcane bowls and other tableware. Paper making is one of the four major inventions in China, and sugarcane paper is a successful docking of sugarcane and environmental protection.
At first glance, these instant noodle bowls, ice cream cups, milk cups, bento boxes, etc., there is nothing different. But Zheng introduced that they use bagasse, a resource that can replace wood pulp materials, to turn bagasse into virgin paper and then into products like paper cup、paper box and bowls.
"The cost of their raw paper using sugarcane bagasse is 30 percent less than that of raw paper made from all wood pulp, and the appearance and texture of the paper is much improved than before." The provincial paper-making association said that the bagasse paper-making technology is not particularly new, but cost-saving, and conducive to recycling.
According to the introduction, in fact, sugar cane paper and related products are very environmentally friendly. What is utilized in the papermaking and fermentation process are carbohydrates, which are substances synthesized by sugar cane and sugar beet by absorbing carbon dioxide and water through photosynthesis. The nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients that sugar cane and sugar beet absorb from the soil during the growth process are almost all concentrated in the filter mud, fermentation waste liquid and other wastes after the sugar production process is completed. After production and processing into fertilizer, these nutrients are brought back to the ground, which can keep the land always healthy and balanced in nutrients, maintain ecological balance, and realize a real circular economy.
